yeah in my dreams. Somehow I always seem to need a surplus of desk space so I can stack "junk" all over my desktop. It's the way I roll.
However, someone else, especially someone with a laptop (I still possess a huge desktop monitor, not even a flat screen!) could really love this desk.
I just saw this cute setup, the Trovato Office-in-a-Box, on the New York Times website and saw that it was available at OfficeMax of all places for only $150. Compared to similar setups available (without the stool/storage cube) like the Jay desk & hutch available at West Elm for $330, this is a true bargain.
Even with a laptop, that would be a challenge for me. It is beautiful though.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I've got a desktop and not one, but two CRT screens (I only use the second when I'm working on video). But my main problem is like yours -- I stack stuff on my desk :-)
ReplyDeleteI love, love, LOVE my Jay Desk, which I got used on Craigslist for $50. They turn up on CL pretty frequently - I haven't been able to get hold of the hutch part yet, but someday.
ReplyDeleteThat Trovato setup looks pretty cool too.
Lisa, just to let you know, sitting on a stool gets very tiring. We've done it for YEARS. Luckily, Helen's one-door-down neighbor was getting rid of her "Adjustable Aluminum Chair" from the "General Fireproofing Company" and I snagged mine for only $5 (which I still owe her!!)... refurbished models sell for $525... I'm just happy I have something to lean on!
ReplyDeleteI never have enough desk space either. Like purse space, there's never enough.
ReplyDeleteThat's a cute desk though. Maybe just for writing notes or making up your shopping list. Not for actually really working.
