Sometimes It's Hard to Laugh at the Truth

I love this satirical article about Columbus, Ohio and its habit of demolishing many of the areas significant historic structures.

Unfortunately, the same story could be written about my little city, Richmond. We have lost some beautiful buildings on our Broad Street only to be rewarded with empty dirt lots, some with nothing even planned to replace what we lost.

The Seneca before and...

after.

Our beautiful Murphy Hotel, which was demolished last fall.
